Sarah + Brad | Chamber's Bay Engagement Session | Washington Wedding Photographer
Day after day, the forecast remained the same. No matter how many times we checked our weather app, no matter how much we wanted it to change...it was going to rain all weekend in Seattle, Washington where we were originally planning to have Sarah and Brad's Engagement Session.
So we started to come up with a Plan B... Plan C and even a Plan D. All of which were really great plans! We decided to wait until Saturday morning to make our decision as to which Plan we we were going to go with. When we woke up that morning, we checked Seattle's weather one more time in hopes that it had miraculously changed over night (which it hadn't)... and that's when I got an email from Sarah stating that she noticed Seattle was the only place that was supposed to get rain that night and that they wouldn't mind driving all the way down towards Olympia, so they could miss the rain! So I sent her several locations to choose from and we ended up having their Session at Chamber's Bay in Tacoma Washington. Even though that meant they had to drive a whole other hour on top of the original hour it was going to take them to drive to Seattle. (SERIOUSLY, what troopers!)
I was so excited to finally officially meet Sarah, Brad and their adorable little girl Avery! And I have to say, even though it was our first time meeting in person, it felt as if I was just catching up with some old friends I hadn't seen in a long time. Not only did this make for a super fun session, but a memorable one too!
I remember thinking to myself that there was something special about Sarah and Brad the first time I met them over FaceTime for their wedding consultation, (besides the obvious....them being one of the cutest couples ever!) but I just couldn't pin point what it was until recently. I now know what it is... No matter how many curve balls were thrown their way while trying to plan this session, Sarah and Brad took each one in stride... never losing their joy along the way. After witnessing how flexible and optimistic these two are, there is no doubt in my mind that they will continue to take whatever this life has to throw at them and make the best out of it... all while having smiles on their faces!
Sarah and Brad, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for being the wonderful human beings you are. And thank you for laughing WITH me & not at me as I slipped down the hill straight onto my butt while trying to get the perfect shot! HAHA! You guys are doing such a great job raising little Avery and I am so excited and so grateful to be able to capture this beautiful time in your life. Keep pushing on, as I know this life has great things in store for you all! I cannot wait to be a part of your wedding in just over a month!
